ACC Board of Education candidate forum

The Family Advisory Board for Athens-Clarke County Schools hosted a forum for candidates running for the Board of Education last week.

All Board of Education candidates attended the event. In order from right to left, they are: Carl Blount (District 3), Reginald Willis (District 3), Adam Shirley (District 7), Lillie Brooks (District 7), Heather Fletcher (District 5), Fred Smith, Sr. (District) 5), Irami Osei-Frimpong (District 8) and Mark Evans (District 9). Heidi Hensley, who is running unopposed, did not attend the debate. Irami Osei-Frimpong is not running for Board of Education in this election cycle, but he is planning to run in the District 8 special election to replace outgoing member Nicole Hull.

The forum was moderated by Jami Mays of the Family Advisory Board.
