Signature Issues
Preserving Democracy and Voting Rights – Fore’s primary issue was the preservation of our fragile democracy and fighting back against Republican attempts to overturn elections and restrict the right to vote. She supports same day voter registration, expanded early voting and making election day a national holiday.
Living Wages and Top Marginal Tax Reform – Fore had some creative ideas for raising the minimum wage and the top marginal tax rate. She wants to raise the minimum wage to a living wage, but would allow a lower minimum wage for 16 and 17 year-olds who wish to enter the workforce and gain valuable experience. Likewise, she would vote to raise the top marginal tax rate significantly, but would allow a lower rate for businesses who create living wage jobs in the US instead of building factories overseas.
Experience
Fore is a realtor, working musician and Christian worship leader in Athens. She is also an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She had never run for public office before.
