Signature Issues
Opposition to undocumented immigration and refugee resettlement – Waters went on Fox & Friends shortly after announcing her candidacy to express concern about government transparency surrounding refugee resettlement and undocumented immigration in town. She says she opposes “sanctuary-like” policies.
Cutting spending – Waters opposes spending on bike lanes, the downtown public restroom, the Georgia Square Mall redevelopment (although homeowner tax money is not being used) and the Classic Center Arena.
Public safety – Waters wants to boost spending on the ACC Police Department and expand Athens’ surveillance camera network.

Experience
Waters is the owner of Mama Sid’s Pizza. She served on the ACC Board of Education from 1996 to 2008. She earned a bachelor’s in secondary education from Jacksonville State University, according to her Facebook page.
