Signature Issues
Alexander says that he would work to help our students get along with people from different cultures, of different abilities (physical and cognitive) and with different political ideologies. He says he would strive for inclusion in the classroom even if it was “unpopular.” He also wants to incorporate learning about mental health into the curriculum, especially about how to cope with anger, anxiety and depression due to the pandemic.
Experience
Alexander is the Workforce Development Manager for Goodwill of North Georgia. He has taught financial literacy at Meadowcreek High School. He’s also taught job readiness classes at Sims Academy and with the Destination Dawgs program at UGA.
