Community uplift: Foote ran on a platform of “infrastructure, economic development, housing stability and assisting the unhoused. As a community, and by working together, we all can make it make sense.'”
Transparency: Foote said she was “committed to building a transparent, accountable government that works for the people.”
Opposition to a community garden redevelopment: Foote strongly opposed a redevelopment plan for Triangle Plaza in inner east Athens which centered around a community garden. She told commissioners that “until you all acknowledge and rectify the harm you have caused us, your entire office and all your plans will fail. This is a powerful expression of our self-empowerment and our rejection of your mistreatment.” She believes that this vote will allow for student housing in Triangle Plaza, which is false.
Experience
During her 2026 campaign, Foote touted her over 25 years of experience in “the social services field…helping families to become self sufficient.” She is a member of the Inner East Athens Neighbors Association.
