Signature Issues

Transportation infrastructure for District 9 — Smith wants to prioritize sidewalks, safer intersections, street lights, better bus connections and other transportation infrastructure for her district. “People in District 9 are still walking in high grass, walking in the streets, because there are no sidewalks. That is unacceptable. It’s a safety issue,” Smith told APN. She also wants to build a park or recreation center in the district.
